  7. Brixton Systems's BrxPassThru enables TCP/IP networks to incorporate real IBM
  8. devices.  BrxPassThru enables real IBM 3270 devices to select the host their
  9. terminal is to attached to and then dynamically connects through the TCP/IP
  10. network to the BrxPU2.1 SNA server.
  11. BrxPassThru effectively collapses links for PU2.0 and PU2.1 onto TCP/IP
  12. networks.  IBM 3270 users can enter IBM mainframes through any Logical Unit
  13. (Network Address Unit).  The following diagram describes how two fixed network
  14. address 3270 terminal users can access the BrxPassThru to access IBM mainframe
  15. applications.
  16. The advantage of the BrxPassThru is the SNA routing is done at the Network
  17. Addressable Unit level as opposed to link level tunneling.  The architecture
  18. frees the TCP/IP network from the remote polling overhead that tunnelling
  19. products require.  Furthermore, the BrxPassThru enables SNA users to
  20. dynamically select the particular mainframe of specific port into a mainframe.
